Memberships
I am a member of the following organizations:
Pennsylvania Music Educators' Association (PMEA)
Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA)
Pi Kappa Lambda, Zeta Iota Chapter-Music Honor Society
Future Goals
At Graystone Academy, I am developing and re-developing a curriculum that fits well with the students needs and draws from standards emphasized in the Common Core standards for the Arts. I hope to finalize the first draft of this curriculum this summer and put it into place at the beginning of the next school year.
The goals I have for my students are:
1) Every student will be able to sing comfortably and confidently.
2) Every student will be able to demonstrate basic musicianship skills by the end of 5th grade including steady beat, treble clef note reading, playing a variety of musical instruments, and composing basic songs within set guidelines.
3) Every student will be able to make connections between Music class and each of their other subjects.

Other Experiences
Here I am standing to the right of the group of girls I counseled during the Summer of 2011.
I continue to be involved at Pocono Plateau Camp and Retreat Center as an adventure program facilitator, volunteer counselor, and volunteer program director. Over the past two years I have served on the summer staff as a member of program staff as well as waterfront director, working with children and youth in Pre-K-12th grades. I also have had experiences counseling youth from age 11-17. Currently my husband and I co-direct a Jr High Camp for campers in grades 6-9.
